Why switch

Four reasons why your family deserves this pan.

You taste your food, not your pan
No coating that leaches into your food or fumes off. Even if the pan gets too hot once, you cook with peace of mind.
You buy this once, and buy it right
No flaking coating after a few months. Five years from now you will still be taking this pan out of the cupboard every day.
Your cooker simply joins in
Gas, electric, ceramic or induction: it all works. And up to 300°C it can go in the oven too.
You take no risk
Thirty days to try it at home, even if you have already used the pan. If it is not for you, we make it easy.

The secret is in what is missing

The big difference is in what is not in it.

Most non-stick pans owe their smoothness to PFAS, PFOA or PTFE, better known as Teflon. Handy, until you know these are 'forever chemicals' that barely break down and can give off fumes when overheated. With DotShield you choose a different route.

Really just sand and glass
The non-stick coating is silicon dioxide (SiO₂), the same stuff as in sand and glass. Completely inert, so it does not react with anything, not even with your acidic tomato sauce.
Nothing to worry about
Left the pan empty on the heat once? No panic and no fumes. There is simply nothing in it that can be released.
Tested to the strictest standards
CE and LFGB certified, including DIN 10955. That way you know for sure that what we promise holds up.

Under the hood

Built in solid layers, for the long haul.

1
Natural SiO₂
The layer you cook on. Scratch resistant, so sturdy kitchen tools are fine. Pure nature, no plastic.
2
Stainless steel 304
The food-safe stainless steel grade. Neutral in taste, reacts with nothing.
3
Solid aluminium core
Runs from base to rim and spreads the heat evenly everywhere. No hot spots, no burnt edges.
4
Stainless steel 430
The magnetic base your induction hob recognises straight away. Stays perfectly flat, even at full power.

What the first testers found

Used daily for six months.

★★★★★
Just as revolutionary as the rest of iZi-Clean

As a loyal iZi-Clean customer I was able to test these PFAS-free pans for 6 months. I was sceptical, because my previous 'green' pans had lost their non-stick coating after three months. But after half a year of daily use, eggs and pancakes still slide out effortlessly. No warped bases, no chemical smells, and so clean.

Finally a PFAS-free alternative that actually works

I have been using iZi-Clean for years, so I said yes right away to testing the pan set for 6 months. Earlier 'green' alternatives disappointed me: too light and warping, or awkwardly heavy. DotShield is different: sturdy but perfectly balanced, heats up quickly and evenly, handles stay cool. After half a year the coating is still like new.

One more thing

Questions you probably have.

Does nothing really stick?

The secret is preheating. Heat the pan for 2 to 3 minutes over medium-high heat, only then add a little oil or butter, and after that your food. Thanks to the tri-ply the heat spreads quickly, so a lower setting than you are used to is usually enough.

Will it work on my cooker?

On all of them: gas, electric, ceramic and induction. And it can go in the oven up to 300°C.

Is it really 100% PFAS-free?

Yes. The non-stick coating is natural SiO₂ (silica, the main component of sand and glass), not PTFE or Teflon. Tested and certified to the strictest European standards: CE and LFGB, including DIN 10955.

Will it not warp on induction?

No. The solid tri-ply runs through the whole pan, base and walls, not just the base. That keeps it flat, even with the serious power of induction. The magnetic stainless steel 430 bottom layer provides the coupling with your hob.

Do I need to do anything before first use?

No. Just wash it with warm water and a little washing-up liquid, dry it, and you can start cooking. Seasoning is not needed.

Is a lid included?

That differs per pan and is always stated clearly with the product. The frying pans come with a matching glass lid, the saucepan and both stockpots have their lid as standard, and the pancake pan and the wok are used without one.

Are the pans not too heavy?

They are sturdier than a thin aluminium pan, and that is exactly why they never warp. But the weight sits in the base, not in the handle, so they feel comfortable in the hand. The wok, saucepan and stockpots are deliberately a bit lighter (2.5 mm) so you can lift them with one hand.

Do the handles get hot?

On the hob the stainless steel handles stay cool enough to grab hold of; they deliberately stand slightly away from the pan. If the pan goes in the oven, always use an oven glove.

How do I keep it looking good?

Let the pan cool down first and clean it with a non-abrasive sponge and warm water. It is dishwasher safe, although the coating stays like new longest if you wash it by hand. A thin layer of oil now and then keeps it in top shape.

And what if something does stick?

To be straight with you: stainless steel asks for a little more attention than Teflon. Two habits prevent almost everything: do not heat oil too long on high heat (medium-high is enough) and clean the pan as soon as it has cooled down. Still a stubborn spot? Let a layer of water with a dash of natural vinegar or a spoon of baking soda simmer gently for a few minutes, then wipe it away.

What about warranty and returns?

You have thirty days to change your mind, even if you have already used the pan. And five years of warranty on material and manufacturing defects.

What exactly does that warranty cover?

Material and manufacturing defects under normal household use. Not covered: ordinary wear and scratches, damage from overheating or heating the pan empty, cutting or scraping with metal utensils, incorrect cleaning, and drops or accidents. Applies to the first buyer on presentation of proof of purchase, is not transferable and not for catering use.

Can I use a discount code?

The DotShield prices are already introductory prices, so your advantage is built in from the start. Separate discount codes do not apply on top of these.

What does shipping cost?

Free from €100, below that €4.95 (Belgium €4.95, Germany and France €5.95).

When will my order be shipped?

Order on a working day before 22:00 and your parcel goes out the same day, with track & trace.

Can I pay later or in instalments?

Yes. With Klarna you pay later or in 3 instalments. You can also pay with iDEAL, Bancontact, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay and credit card.
