The drying towel in your daily bathroom routine
Do you also struggle every morning after showering with a regular towel to get your shower cubicle dry? Or worse - do you let it dry, only to tackle the limescale with a scrubber a week later?
I'd like to share how you can easily keep your bathroom clean with a special drying cloth.
My morning routine with the drying towel
As soon as I step out of the shower, I grab my izi-clean drying cloth (60x40 cm). I start at the top of the shower cubicle and work my way down. Thanks to the 800ml absorbency, I only have to wipe the surface once. No hassle of wringing or rubbing - the special fibres don't leave streaks.
What else do I use the drying cloth for?
After using the shower cubicle, I immediately grab the mirror.
No streaks or lint here either, which saves you a separate cleaning session.
Then:
- I wipe the taps (no more limescale stains!)
- Shall I take the sink with me?
- I dry the tiles that have been splashed with water
On busy days I only do the bare essentials, but once a week I clean all the tiles in the bathroom. Because the drying cloth absorbs water so effectively, this goes surprisingly quickly.
This is how I like it my drying towel fresh
To keep my drying cloth working properly, I wash it regularly.
Here are my tips:
- Wash at 40 degrees with washing powder or a dash of vinegar
- Do not use fabric softener or liquid detergent
- Wash separately or with similar colours (to avoid colour transfer)
- Just let it dry on the washing line
Please note: do not use bleach or other aggressive cleaning agents and do not hang the cloth on the radiator.
More than just the bathroom
Although I mainly use the drying towel in the bathroom, it is also perfect for:
- The windows (no streaks!)
- The counter in the kitchen
- The car (especially the windows and mirrors)
Why this routine works:
By drying the shower briefly every day, I save myself a lot of work. No limescale means:
- No extensive cleaning required
- No expensive anti-limescale products
- No scrubbing with vinegar or other agents
- Always a fresh, clean bathroom
It takes me about two minutes a day, but it saves hours of work in the long run. And the best part? Because the drying cloth is so effective (much more effective than a regular towel or window squeegee), it doesn't feel like a chore.
Just dry quickly and you're done!
Love, Yasmin
