Short answer: a microfibre window cloth leaves no streaks because the fibres are split. Those wedge-shaped openings pull dirt and grease inwards instead of dragging them across the glass. That's why warm water is all you need, and why there's no film of cleaner left for dust to settle on.

What makes a split fibre different from an ordinary cloth?
Most cleaning cloths have round fibres, and round fibres mainly push dirt along in front of them. The fibres in the iZi-Clean Wonder Cloth are split at a microscopic level, rather like a cake cut into countless slices. Between those points you get a capillary action, and it does two jobs at once:
- Dirt disappears into the cloth. Grease and dust are pulled deep into the wedge-shaped openings instead of being smeared about.

Why do windows get dirty again faster after window spray?
Window sprays with perfume or shine agents leave a wafer-thin film on the glass. It looks clean at first glance, but that film draws dust like a magnet. A few days later you're back at the window.

How do you get the best out of your window cloth?
- Never use fabric conditioner. It fills the gaps between the microfibres with a greasy film, and the cloth stops absorbing.
- Work slightly damp. The cloth is at its best just damp. The moisture then flashes off the glass without leaving droplets.
