Cleaning your mirror streak-free: here's how
Limescale, toothpaste splashes, greasy fingerprints, make-up, a film of dust... none of it belongs on your mirror. When it happens anyway and you find yourself wondering how to clean a mirror without leaving streaks, here are a few tips that work.
Tip 1 | Pick the right cloth
A gleaming mirror starts with the right cloth. Some people reach for old newspaper, a sheet of kitchen roll or whatever dry cloth is to hand. May we introduce the iZi-Clean microfibre cloth instead. Tip 2 | Use lukewarm water
Lukewarm water gives the best result: a shining mirror with no streaks. All you do is soak your iZi-Clean cloth in lukewarm water. Leave it for 10 to 15 minutes, rinse it well under running water and wring it out until it feels slightly damp. That is it. Yes, really: no cleaning products, no vinegar. Lukewarm water and the cloth are enough.
Tip 3 | No cleaning products needed
Did you know you need no cleaning products at all on a mirror? Not with an iZi-Clean microfibre cloth, at any rate. Dip it in lukewarm water and off you go. Tip 4 | Stop your mirror steaming up
Prevention beats cure. If cleaning the mirror is your least favourite job, stop it steaming up in the first place. Open a window while you shower or bathe, or run the extractor fan.
