No. Every Wonder Cloth is the same cloth and does exactly the same job, whether it is dark grey, light grey, blue or pink. The colours are there to help you: give every room its own colour and you will never grab the bathroom cloth in the kitchen by mistake again.
This applies to the Wonder Cloth. You don't soak a Drying Towel: you wash that once at 40 °C first to remove the production residue.
In lukewarm water, once, only when the cloth is new. That removes the residue from production.
Under running water, then wring out well until it feels damp, not wet.

For everyday cleaning, yes. For grease in the kitchen, add warm water with a drop of washing-up liquid, then go over it with water only. If limescale has built up over years, that layer comes off once with a limescale remover; after that, the cloth keeps it away.
In almost every case, the cloth is too wet. Wet it and wring it out well until it feels damp, not wet. Water left behind dries into exactly the streaks you wanted gone.
That's in your hands. Wash at 40 °C and keep it out of the tumble dryer, and they last for years. Fabric softener is the one real killer: it coats the fibre so it repels water instead of absorbing it. Wash with iZi-Wash Sheets, or with washing powder and a splash of vinegar.
Four cloths are enough for the kitchen. With twelve you have three of each colour: a separate colour for each room, and always a clean one ready while the rest is in the wash. Per cloth, twelve works out cheaper than four.
